When you rooted did you install a custom Recovery, such as ClockworkMod? If so, you can reboot into recovery, select the factory reset and wipe cache options then reboot. Also, you may be able to re-flash the ROM or flash a new ROM to get the device back up and running - see if that helps.

You'll need to install a custom recovery to flash a ROM. XDA might be your best bet for that. Since I don't have the device I can't help you with a ROM to use or don't know if you can install stock firmware to get it booted.

Re: my sony xperia m is stuck on boot loop

Hello,
You are facing Bootloop Correct?
this might happen if you try to load any other rom. or img, etc,
TO REPAIR:
1> Download this file. from here this is the ftf file that you'll need...
https://mega.co.nz/#!BJcWiLIK!dqwBZAytT0fXSJi9NBSUlx9mRHBGaF3JvbqTczY1vMo
2>Download Latest Flashtool. from here.
flashtool-0.9.10.2beta6-windows
3> Procedure

After installation of all above requirements

+Open the Flash tool folder (usually C:\Flashtool).Find folder named Driver. Run the program named "Flashtool-Drivers",check all the options under "select component to install". Click install

+Come back to Flashtool folder find folder named "firmwares".Copy downloaded firmware files(.ftf files) to "firmwares" folder.

+Open flashtool.exe connect the phone using USB cable (in Mass Storage mode). You can find your Phone details at INFO log.

+Click on the thunder icon , select Flashmode from mode selector window and click ok.

+Next you'll see a firmware selection window. Select your Phone's firmware from the list, check wipe data and wipe cache if you need clear all your previous apps installed. Leave all other options and click Ok.

+For some phone models Flash tool will say to disconnect and reinsert battery, then connect phone by holding "back" or "home" button (for some phones have touch sensitive home and back buttons they try with pressing "volume down" key ).otherwise skip this step

+Wait until the process complete. When INFO log shows finished , device disconnected , you can switch on your phone . It'll take 10-15 minutes for first boot .

Re: my sony xperia m is stuck on boot loop

You Cannot boot the phone correct? Complete till the second step.. and then remove your battery and put it back in 10-15 seconds....then hold volume down button(only that) and insert your usb cable it will say as device connected in flashmode... then follow from step 4 and leave step 6..... just select the firmware and it might be named as C190X and at right bottom click the button flash... you're done... congrats your phone will boot in 10-15 mins or less.....
thank you,

Re: my sony xperia m is stuck on boot loop

I had this problem, to remedy it I used the pc companion like so

Turn the phone off and disconnect it from the computer
1. Disregard any instructions to connect the phone until you complete step 9
2. In the welcome screen you will see the different modules available for you including the "support zone" option. Click on "Start" below it.
3. On the next page Click on "Start" under "Phone/Tablet Software update"
At this point if you get an error stating that "unable to install update components" or "server is bussy" Please proceed to step 12. If you not see that error then continue with step 4.
4. The program will show a window saying "Could not find phone/tablet". Click on the option below that reads: "Repair my phone/tablet" the program will issue you a warning on the content that you will lose during the update
5. Choose the option to continue.
6. The program will issue a final message warning you of possible data lost during the update. Click on the checkmark and then on "Next/Continue".
7. After that, the program will download the necessary information (5 to 6 minutes) and it will present you with a list of phones.
8. Choose the Phone from the list then click on "next" then you will see a new section telling you how to connect the phone. (don't connect it yet)
At this point the phone must be off and disconnected from the PC.

9. Connect the cable to the PC not to the phone, then wile pressing and holding the indicated button (in the steps on screen an specific button will be shown for you to press on the phone) connect the cable to the phone and keep holding the indicated button until the program says "the update of your phone has started..." (in some cases a message of "Installing drivers" will appear before the message of "the update of your phone has started..." is shown.)
10. If you failed to follow the steps correctly the phone will turn on and it will request that you "Proceed with the following steps, slide down the notification bar", If this happens disconnect the phone from the cable, turn it off and repeat from step 9).
11. If the phone is connected properly, PC Companion will proceed with the update ( It will tell you to let go of the back key) then wait for the update to finish and follow instructions on screen to disconnect the unit.

Dear customer,
12. If "unable to install update components"
1. Close Pc companion
2. Install Java from: java.com: Java + You
3. start Pc companion again and try to do the software unlock process once more.
Note: If you wish only to update the unit wait for the program to open and then select the quick link on the uper left corner that says "Update Phone/Tablet" and follow the instructions to perform the update. (the PC may request for the phone to be placed in Mass Storage mode. Do this by going into Settings>Xperia>Connectivity>USB connection mode)
Some computers may block the installation of the update service, if this happens use this:
Update service - Sony Smartphones (US) this is the Standalone update software.
If the Phone is unresponsive (Then do this extra step and when done proceed to redo the repair process:
Press and hold the power button and the volume up button at the same time for 10 to 15 seconds. This will reset the unit)

It was a bit slow on first boot but worked

Re: my sony xperia m is stuck on boot loop

Hi guys, please help, I have a simmilar problem.
I have (successfully) rooted my phone while leaving bootloader unlocked, but than I've realized that I have to unlock it in order to install CM11.
I have followed the instructions on SE folder and got the message that bootloader is successfully unlocked.
After that, the phone enters a bootloop every time I try to turn it on. Then, I've instaled CWM using flashtool and boot.img from CM11(kernel)?
Maybe the last one was bad idea, but I wanted to try to simply install new rom and see if it will help.
But I've stopped to ask for advice, is that the right thing to do or something else?

edit:
Because I've instaled CM11's boot.img(kernel) I don't know if I can simply use PC companion repair? And if I use PC companion what will happen with my root? And is it safe just to try to continue with installing CM11?
