I purchased a Wii U Pro Controller yesterday and cannot get it to sync. My gamepad and wii remote plus sync just fine. I'll go to the sync screen and press the sync button on the controller, but all four lights just flash repeatedly and then turn off. I've tried several times. Is this a bad controller or am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

Yep. I pressed the sync button on the console first and then per the instructions, pressed it on the controller. The controller just flashes and then stops.

Actually...there is no instruction manual. It tells you to refer to the Wii U guide. I watched a couple of videos on youtube and the whole process is pretty simple, which means it is a faulty controller. But thanks guys for the responses!

Yours could perhaps be a bootleg.

Where did you buy it from?

It would be really useful to know which seller to never EVER buy something on amazon by it.

I have the pro controller. It syncs the same way as the wii mote. Press the console first then the button on the back of the controller. You might could try plugging the usb cord directly into the console but I don't think it sysncs that way.Â
