You get tokens to use in the new model viewer to unlock new models. These tokens can also be obtained via StreetPass

Site says that you can get "tokens" using Streetpass or amiibo, which can be used to draw lots (?) for Collection Mode.

edit: My guess it that it's like Smash Bros., where you use coins (tokens here) to collect different 3D models and music tracks. Scanning in the Shulk amiibo, or streetpassing will reward you with those tokens.

My educated (or wild) guess is that you get tokens from Amiibos and StreetPass hits, which you can use to buy goes in the collection mode. A bit like the figurines in Zelda: Minish Cap.

That sounds fairly generic. Nothing exclusive to Shulk.

Edit: Apparently it is Shulk exclusive. Damn. Glad I have one.

We're talking about Xenoblade Chronicles 3D not Xenoblade Chronicles X.

It's not so much too many people buying as Nintendo not shipping enough. When I snagged my Rosalina at Target, right as they opened, I got the 2nd to last one, but there were less than 10 in the whole store.

I was keeping him in the box and tempted to sell him now I will be setting him free to the chagrin of my girlfriend who only saw dollar signs.

If they don't reprint him he will probably be worth more now that he has a use.

I have an order in for three (two for me, one for a friend). He keeps asking me every day for a shipping update lol. If the dollar tanks further he might balk at the price point, in which case I'll happily trade or flip for cost to someone.

Gross if true, streetpass "features" are one of the most annoying parts of 3DS games. F2P mechanics you can't even pay for. Hope this stays far, far away from X.

It's really really frustrating that they're tying DLC to Amiibos that are difficult to obtain and have no announced manufacturing re-runs. If they were easily obtainable in at least some way (like if Nintendo sold them on their own online store, and produced them in adequate amounts...), I'd really love this system. Every store I go to has a million Luigis and literally nothing else.

I really wish I could use my Shulk amiibo for something cool. (Thank you based Nintendo World) but I doubt it's use in this game will convince me to buy it since I already own it for the Wii. We'll see...

Please get real. There is no "DLC" in this game. Sounds like you can get the same with StreetPass.
